How the filament pool works
A Bambu Lab filament-only group buy based in Wasilla, Alaska—coordinate one local order without losing track of colors, prices, stock, or who owes what.
Set your limit
Your maximum is the pre-tax unit price you approve. If the confirmed cart price is higher, the order cannot be placed until the conflict is resolved.
Reach free shipping
The group’s discounted merchandise subtotal counts toward Bambu Lab’s shipping threshold. Sales tax is calculated separately.
Last call
The pool must remain above the threshold for one hour before it enters a separate 24-hour pending period. Dropping below the goal during that first hour resets the timer.
Order and pickup
The organizer locks the pool, verifies stock and cart prices, places the order, then marks it ready for local pickup in Wasilla, Alaska when it arrives.
Membership
Browse first, join when ready
Anyone can browse. New accounts can build a wishlist while their membership request is reviewed. Pledging requires organizer approval or a one-time invitation, which protects the group order from fake commitments.
No markup
This is not a business
The pool adds no markup, organizer fee, or profit. Each member pays only their share of the actual Bambu Lab cart price plus applicable sales tax. The whole point is helping local buyers reach free shipping together.
Wishlist vs. pledge
Save it or commit it
A wishlist is private planning and does not count toward the order. A pledge is your commitment to buy and immediately contributes to the pool total while the order is open or pending.
Prices and tax
Know the estimate
Sale and bulk discounts are applied to merchandise first. The organizer can set the local tax rate—currently 2.5%—and the site adds tax to each person’s estimated total. Tax does not count toward free shipping.
Spools, refills, and sizes
The package matters
Spools and refills are separate choices, as are 1 kg and 0.5 kg packages. Prices and your saved maximum apply to the exact package shown.
Stock changes
No silent substitutions
Unavailable catalog items are hidden from new selections, but an existing pledge stays visible and is flagged for the organizer. Nothing is automatically swapped for another color or package.
Order history
Follow every batch
Signed-in members can see current and previous pledges, price and tax totals, order status, and when a delivered batch is ready for pickup.
Updates
Important updates by email
Members receive email for last call, order locking and placement, price or stock issues, and pickup instructions. Membership applicants also receive their approval decision by email.
